  • 1 cup Quick Oats Old-fashioned oats can be used, but may alter texture.
  • 1/2 cup Milk Whole milk is recommended.
  • 2 large Eggs Acts as a bonding agent.
  • 1 medium Onion Finely chopped or grated.
For the Glaze
  • 1/2 cup Ketchup BBQ sauce can be used for variation.
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar Maple syrup is an alternative.
  • 1 tbsp Mustard Dijon mustard is a good option.
  • Salt To taste.
  • Pepper To taste.

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan.
  2. Mix ground beef, quick oats, milk, eggs, onion, ketchup, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and place in the pan.
  4. Prepare the glaze by mixing remaining ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard, then spread half over the meatloaf.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes, then add the remaining glaze and bake for another 15-20 minutes.
  6. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
