  • 4 large croissants torn into pieces
For the Berries
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries substitute with other berries if desired
  • 1 cup blueberries can replace with blackberries or additional strawberries
  • 1 cup raspberries omit or substitute with more strawberries if preferred
For the Creamy Mixture
  • 8 oz cream cheese low-fat cream cheese can be used as a substitute
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar adjust to taste, can substitute with a sweetener
  • 1 cup milk plant-based milk can be used as an alternative
  • 4 large eggs for vegan version, use a commercial egg replacer
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract can use almond extract for a twist

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and coat a 9 x 9-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Tear croissants into bite-sized pieces and layer them in the prepared dish. Add the sliced strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries on top.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese until fluffy, then add sugar, milk, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Pour the mixture over the layered croissants and berries, cover with plastic wrap, and chill for at least 15 minutes.
  5. Remove plastic wrap and bake for 35 to 40 minutes until golden brown and center is set.
  6. Allow to cool for 10 minutes, slice, and serve warm with powdered sugar or syrup.
