Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage for about 8-10 minutes until browned.
  3. Sprinkle all-purpose flour evenly over the sausage and cook for 1-2 minutes. Gradually whisk in whole milk and cook for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
  4. Quarter the refrigerated biscuits and layer the pieces in the bottom of the baking dish.
  5. Pour the sausage gravy over the biscuit layer, then whisk together the eggs and additional milk, pouring it over the casserole.
  6. Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes until the eggs are set and the top is golden-brown.
  7. Let the casserole rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
