Ingredients

For the Cheese Mixture
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese Ensure it's at room temperature.
  • 1 cup Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese Let it reach room temperature.
  • 1 packet Ranch Seasoning Mix Can be substituted with a homemade mix.
For Coating and Decoration
  • 1 cup Finely Shredded Jack Cheese Used to coat the cheese ball.
  • 1 piece Baby Carrot For the nose; or cut a standard carrot.
  • 6 pieces Whole Peppercorns For eyes, mouth, and buttons; alternatives can include olives or raisins.

Equipment

  • Stand Mixer
  • plastic wrap
  • Serving plate

Method

Instructions
  1. Start by combining the cream cheese, shredded sharp cheddar cheese, and ranch seasoning mix in a stand mixer. Beat the mixture on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 3-5 minutes.
  2. Scoop out a portion of the mixture to form two balls (one larger for the body, smaller for the head). Wrap each ball tightly in plastic wrap and chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  3. Unwrap the cheese balls and gently press finely shredded jack cheese all over the exterior of each cheese ball, ensuring it adheres well.
  4. Carefully stack the smaller cheese ball on top of the larger one to create your snowman and adjust for stability.
  5. Insert a baby carrot piece into the top ball for the nose and arrange whole peppercorns for the eyes, mouth, and buttons.
  6. Serve the decorated Snowman Cheese Ball alongside an assortment of crackers.
