Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice a loaf of French bread in half lengthwise and lay cut sides up on a baking sheet lined with foil.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix salted butter, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Evenly spread the garlic mixture over both halves of the bread.
  5. Wrap the prepared bread halves tightly in foil, crimping the edges to seal.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.
  7. Carefully unwrap the foil and sprinkle shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on the exposed bread.
  8. Return to the oven and bake uncovered for an additional 5–6 minutes.
  9. Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley, slice, and serve warm.
