  • 8 ounces Cellentani Pasta or Elbow Macaroni can substitute with rotini or gluten-free pasta
  • 1 Medium Sweet Red Pepper any colored bell peppers can be used
  • 4 ounces Provolone Cheese cubed; can substitute with mozzarella or cheddar
  • 4 ounces Hard Salami cubed; turkey or beef summer sausage can be substituted
For the Dressing
  • 1/3 cup Prepared Italian Salad Dressing homemade vinaigrette can be used as an alternative
  • Optional: Additional Italian Dressing
  • Minced Fresh Basil other fresh herbs like parsley or oregano can work too

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Cook the pasta by boiling a large pot of salted water. Add the cellentani pasta and cook until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine chopped medium sweet red pepper, cubed provolone cheese, and cubed hard salami. Stir gently and set aside.
  3. Once the pasta has cooled, transfer it to the bowl with the other ingredients. Drizzle with Italian salad dressing and toss gently until well mixed.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  5. Before serving, stir the salad and add more dressing if needed for moisture. Garnish with minced basil or other herbs.
