Ingredients

For the Ham
  • 10 pounds bone-in pre-cooked spiral-cut ham The centerpiece of this dish, ensuring juiciness and rich flavor.
For the Glaze
  • 1 cup orange marmalade Adds sweetness and a beautiful glistening finish; apricot jam works as a substitute.
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard Provides a tangy kick; feel free to swap for Dijon or yellow mustard.
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder Enhances flavor depth; you can replace it with fresh minced garlic.
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper Offers a mild spice; adjust according to your taste.
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves Infuses warmth and complexity; ground cinnamon can be used for a different spice profile.

Equipment

  • Roasting pan
  • basting brush
  • small bowl

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions for Citrus Glazed Ham
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Place your bone-in, spiral-cut ham in a large roasting pan with the cut side facing down.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the orange marmalade, ground mustard, garlic powder, black pepper, and ground cloves.
  3. Using a basting brush, apply half of the marmalade mixture evenly over the ham. Cover loosely with aluminum foil.
  4. Bake the ham for 1 hour, basting every 15 to 20 minutes with the remaining glaze.
  5. Remove the foil after the initial hour and brush the remaining glaze on the exposed surface. Continue baking for another 45 minutes without basting.
  6. Let the ham rest for 15 to 20 minutes after baking to allow juices to redistribute before serving.
