  • ½ cup fruit preserves choose flavors like raspberry, apricot, or strawberry
  • ½ cup chocolate ganache rich filling for chocolate lovers

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cream together butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Beat in the egg yolk and vanilla extract until well incorporated.
  3. Whisk together flour and salt in a separate bowl.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a soft dough forms.
  5. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  7. Shape tablespoon-sized portions into balls and place on prepared baking sheets.
  8. Press an indentation into the center of each cookie ball.
  9. Fill indentations with fruit preserves or chocolate ganache.
  10. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges just begin to turn golden.
  11. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
