  • 1 package Beef Franks Substitute with turkey dogs or chicken sausages if preferred.
  • 2 cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese Monterey Jack can be used for a different flavor.
  • 2 cups Chili Canned or homemade, opt for a thick chili.
  • 1 pound Frozen Tater Tots Homemade tater tots or hash browns can be used.
Optional Toppings
  • 1 cup Sour Cream Adds creaminess and is great for serving.
  • 1/4 cup Green Onions For garnish and flavor contrast.

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Start by slicing the beef franks into bite-sized rounds. Grease the inside of your crockpot.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced franks with the chili. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Layer the crockpot, starting with half of the tater tots, followed by half of the chili and franks mixture, and half of the cheddar cheese. Repeat layers.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 3.5 to 4 hours.
  5. Optionally, broil portions with extra cheddar for 2-3 minutes until bubbly.
  6. Garnish with sour cream and green onions before serving.
