- Start by slicing the beef franks into bite-sized rounds. Grease the inside of your crockpot.
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced franks with the chili. Mix thoroughly.
- Layer the crockpot, starting with half of the tater tots, followed by half of the chili and franks mixture, and half of the cheddar cheese. Repeat layers.
- Cover and cook on low for 3.5 to 4 hours.
- Optionally, broil portions with extra cheddar for 2-3 minutes until bubbly.
- Garnish with sour cream and green onions before serving.
