- In a food processor, blend the almond flour and dates (or maple syrup) until the mixture resembles a crumbly dough. Press it into the bottom of a 9-inch tart pan and refrigerate while preparing the filling.
- In a blender, combine soaked cashews, silken tofu, vegan crème fraîche, chickpea flour, and spices. Blend until completely smooth, about 2-3 minutes. Add orange zest if desired.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour the filling into the chilled crust, smoothing it evenly. Bake for approximately 60 minutes until the edges are set.
- Cool at room temperature for 30 minutes, then chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Garnish as desired and serve with your favorite spiced tea or coffee.
