  4. Layer potatoes and cheese sauce in a greased baking dish, aiming for at least three layers.
  5. Sprinkle reserved cheese on top and bake at 375°F for about 1 hour and 10 minutes.
  6. Let the gratin rest for about 10 minutes before serving.
