Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 500°F (or the highest setting if using a pizza stone or steel). Allow 15-20 minutes for the oven to reach temperature.
- Peel the string cheese into thin strips. Halve the black olives lengthwise; set aside 8 halves for spider bodies and cut the rest into four strips each for spider legs.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a circular shape, ideally 12 to 14 inches in diameter. Use a fork to prick the dough all over.
- Spread a layer of marinara sauce over the rolled-out dough, leaving a ½-inch border all around.
- Transfer the prepared pizza to your preheated oven and bake for 3-5 minutes until slightly golden.
- Quickly remove the pizza from the oven and arrange the string cheese strips in a spider web pattern on top. Place the olive spiders strategically around the pizza.
- Return the pizza to the oven for an additional 3-5 minutes, allowing the string cheese to melt into a gooey web.
- Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving warm.
