Ingredients

For the Spider Web
  • 1 package Whole-Milk String Cheese Create the spider web design; substitute mozzarella sticks for a different flavor twist.
For the Spiders
  • 1 cup Black Olives Forms the spider's body and legs; any pitted olives can work.
For the Pizza Base
  • 14-16 ounces Pizza Dough Homemade dough or store-bought options save time.
For the Sauce
  • 1 cup Super-Easy Marinara Sauce Adds rich flavor to the pizza base; feel free to substitute with your favorite pizza sauce.

Equipment

  • Oven
  • Pizza stone

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 500°F (or the highest setting if using a pizza stone or steel). Allow 15-20 minutes for the oven to reach temperature.
  2. Peel the string cheese into thin strips. Halve the black olives lengthwise; set aside 8 halves for spider bodies and cut the rest into four strips each for spider legs.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a circular shape, ideally 12 to 14 inches in diameter. Use a fork to prick the dough all over.
  4. Spread a layer of marinara sauce over the rolled-out dough, leaving a ½-inch border all around.
  5. Transfer the prepared pizza to your preheated oven and bake for 3-5 minutes until slightly golden.
  6. Quickly remove the pizza from the oven and arrange the string cheese strips in a spider web pattern on top. Place the olive spiders strategically around the pizza.
  7. Return the pizza to the oven for an additional 3-5 minutes, allowing the string cheese to melt into a gooey web.
  8. Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving warm.
