  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour or gluten-free flour blends
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder for slight rise
For the Spooky Decorations
  • 24 pieces Whole Blanched Almonds for creepy 'nails'
  • 1/2 cup Strawberry or Raspberry Jam
  • 1 tube Red Cake Writing Gel
For Natural Colorings
  • 1 teaspoon Matcha Powder for green color
  • 1 teaspoon Purple Sweet Potato Powder for purple color
  • 1 tablespoon Cocoa Powder for a dark hue

Method
 

Making the Cookies
  1. Cream the softened butter with confectioner's sugar and sea salt in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  2. Beat in egg yolks and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Divide the dough into portions and mix in natural colorings as desired.
  4. Whisk together all-purpose flour and baking powder; fold into the colored dough until cohesive.
  5. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  6. Shape the dough into finger shapes and place whole almonds at the tips.
  7. Freeze shaped cookies for 1 hour, then bake at 325°F (165°C) for 20-25 minutes.
  8. Once cooled, adhere almonds with jam and decorate with red cake gel.
