Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the mashed potatoes by making them creamy and free of lumps. Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Mix the cooled mashed potatoes with flour, eggs, salt, and pepper until a smooth mixture forms.
  3. Shape the mixture into fry-like pieces about half an inch wide and place on a parchment-lined tray.
  4. If frying, heat oil to 350°F (175°C). If baking, preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and brush baking sheet with oil.
  5. Fry in small batches for 4-5 minutes until golden brown. For baking, arrange fries and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  6. Drain excess oil on paper towels if fried, or cool slightly before serving baked fries. Serve hot with your favorite dips.
