Preparation Steps
  1. Begin by slicing firm tofu into 1/2-inch thick medallions. Press between paper towels for 15 minutes.
  2. Prepare a breading station with gluten-free flour seasoned with salt and pepper, beaten egg, and panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Dredge each tofu slice in flour, dip into egg wash, and roll in panko breadcrumbs.
  4. In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat and fry the coated tofu slices for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Transfer fried tofu to a plate lined with paper towels to drain oil and cool slightly before serving.
