- Begin by rinsing the fresh broccoli florets under cold water. Pat them dry with a clean towel, then cut the florets into bite-sized pieces. Transfer the chopped broccoli into a large mixing bowl.
- Core a crisp apple and chop it into small pieces. Add the diced apple immediately to the bowl with the broccoli.
- Shred fresh carrots finely and add them to the mixing bowl along with raisins or dried cranberries and sunflower seeds. Gently mix all ingredients together.
- In a separate bowl, combine Greek yogurt or mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, honey, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Whisk until smooth.
- Pour the creamy dressing over the salad mix, gently folding all ingredients together until evenly coated.
- Finely chop red onion and sprinkle it over the salad mix. Toss everything once more to distribute the onion.
- Cover the salad and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld. Serve chilled.
