Pie Crust Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, salt, and sugar. Cut in cold cubed butter until it resembles coarse crumbs. Gradually add ice water, mixing just until the dough holds together. Shape it into a disk, wrap in plastic, and chill for 30 minutes.
Dough Rolling
- After chilling, roll out the pie crust to 1/8 inch thickness. Transfer the rolled dough into the pan, trim excess dough, and crimp the edges.
Pecan Pie Filling
- In a bowl, whisk together corn syrup and brown sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, blending until combined. Stir in melted butter, then fold in pecans.
Assemble and Bake
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour the pecan filling into the prepared crust and bake for 50–60 minutes until the edges are set but the center remains slightly jiggly.
Cool and Serve
- Let the pie cool completely on a wire rack. Slice and serve with a scoop of ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
