- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice the cabbage into thick ½ inch rounds and brush both sides with olive oil.
- In a mixing bowl, combine your chosen ground meat, onion, garlic, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Optionally add the egg and mix well.
- Form the mixture into patties and place them on the cabbage slices on the baking sheet.
- Bake for about 25 minutes, aiming for an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
- If using cheese, sprinkle it on top of the patties and broil for an additional 3 to 5 minutes.
