Preparation Steps
- Select a ripe maradol papaya, peel it, scoop out the seeds, and chop into chunks.
- Squeeze fresh oranges for juice and gather salt and water.
- In a blender, combine chopped papaya, orange juice, a pinch of salt, and 1 cup of water; blend on high for 30 seconds.
- Strain the mixture through a fine sieve into a pitcher, pressing down to extract as much liquid as possible.
- Add remaining water to the pitcher, stir, and taste; adjust sweetness with additional orange juice if desired.
- Serve over ice in tall glasses or refrigerate until ready to serve.
