Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the rotini pasta and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain the pasta.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef, together with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and kosher salt, for 7-10 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, browned meat, pepperoni, bell pepper, onion, marinara sauce, and 2 cups of mozzarella cheese. Mix thoroughly.
- Pour the mixture into the baking dish and spread evenly. Bake for 15 minutes.
- Stir in the remaining mozzarella and add 20 whole pepperoni slices. Bake for another 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving.
