Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Thaw one sheet of frozen puff pastry at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C).
  3. Unroll the thawed puff pastry and slice it into 9 equal squares.
  4. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of ricotta cheese into the center of each pastry square.
  5. Whisk one egg and brush the egg wash along the edges of each pastry square.
  6. Sprinkle approximately 1 tablespoon of chocolate chips over the ricotta filling.
  7. Bake for about 15 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly for about 5 minutes before serving.
