  • 1 tsp Black Pepper adjust to taste
  • 2 cloves Garlic fresh, minced
  • 1 tsp Ginger grated
  • 1 tsp Chinese 5 Spice or mix cumin and star anise
  • 2 tbsp Tamari gluten-free option
  • 2 tbsp Sweet Thai Chili Sauce adjust sweetness to taste
  • 2 stems Green Onions chopped
For the Wrapping
  • 4 pieces Tortillas flour or corn for gluten-free
  • 1 cucumber Cucumber sliced
  • 1 handful Cilantro & Basil fresh, optional herbs
  • 2 tbsp Peanuts optional, for crunch

Cooking Instructions
  1. Begin by heating a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and season with black pepper, cooking for approximately 5 minutes, until the meat is brown and crumbly.
  2. Lower the heat slightly and add the chopped garlic, grated ginger, and Chinese 5 spice to the skillet. Cook for 1 minute, stirring continuously until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the tamari and sweet Thai chili sauce, mix thoroughly, and let it simmer for 3-5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  4. Remove from heat and fold in the chopped green onions, letting the mixture rest while you prepare the tortillas.
  5. Warm the tortillas in the microwave for about 15 seconds to make them pliable.
  6. Assemble rolls by placing a spoonful of the beef mixture in each tortilla center, topping with cucumber, herbs, and peanuts if using.
  7. Fold sides inward and roll tightly to enclose fillings.
  8. Serve warm with dipping sauces like soy sauce or chili paste.
