- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, oregano, and basil. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.

- Thinly slice the red onion and add to the bowl, folding it gently.
- Cut fresh mozzarella into bite-sized pieces and add to the salad.
- Drizzle the marinade over the salad and toss gently to combine.
- Let the salad sit for about 10 minutes at room temperature before serving.
