Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine your favorite cake mix, eggs, water, and oil. Beat on medium speed for about 2 minutes until the batter is smooth and fluffy. Pour into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes.

  3. Dissolve the flavored gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water, stirring until fully dissolved (about 2 minutes). Let it cool slightly for 10 minutes, then pour evenly over the warm poked cake.
  4. Cover the cake lightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until the jello is set.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix your whipped topping with food coloring to create the desired hue. Spread over the top of the set cake.
