Step-by-Step Instructions for Easy Rhubarb Crumble Slice
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (Gas Mark 4) and grease and line a 10x10 or 8x10 inch tin with greaseproof paper.
- Chop the rhubarb and cook in a saucepan with the red fruit jam over low heat for 8-10 minutes until softened.
- If using homemade pastry, roll it out thinly and press into the prepared tin.
- Mix flour and butter by rubbing together until crumbly, then add sugar, oats, and almonds.
- Spread the cooled rhubarb mixture over the pastry base, then sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over it.
- Bake for approximately 40 minutes until the top is golden brown.
- Let it cool in the tin for 10-15 minutes before lifting it out to serve.
