Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (204°C).
  2. Season the ribs with kosher salt, ground black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes. Let rest for 5 minutes.
  3. Sear the ribs in the air fryer at 400°F for 20 minutes until golden.
  4. Prepare the hoisin sauce by mixing hoisin sauce, soy sauce, minced garlic, chopped ginger, chopped cilantro, sambal chili paste, and honey.
  5. Wrap the seared ribs in foil and pour the hoisin sauce over them. Seal tightly.
  6. Reduce fryer temperature to 325°F (163°C) and cook wrapped ribs for 45 minutes.
  7. Check for doneness; internal temperature should exceed 200°F (93°C).
  8. Rest the ribs for 10 minutes before unwrapping and serving.
