Method

Step-by-Step Instructions for Garlic Butter Shrimp Boil
  1. Start by cleaning and preparing your shrimp and vegetables. If you’re using frozen shrimp, ensure they’re fully thawed under cold water. Rinse the sweet corn and slice it into smaller sections. Scrub the baby red potatoes and cut any larger ones in half. Set everything aside, so it's easy to add during the boiling process.
  2. In a large pot, add enough water or beer to cover the ingredients and bring it to a vigorous boil over high heat. Stir in 2-3 tablespoons of Cajun seasoning. Once boiling, add the baby red potatoes and cook for 10 minutes, or until they are fork-tender.
  3. After the potatoes are tender, carefully add the corn pieces and sliced kielbasa sausage into the boiling pot. Allow everything to cook together for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Drop the shrimp into the pot and stir gently. Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and curl up slightly.
  5. Once the shrimp are cooked, carefully drain the pot using a colander. Transfer the contents onto a large platter or directly onto a table lined with paper. Drizzle with melted garlic butter infused with thyme.
  6. For an extra touch, serve some additional melted garlic butter on the side for dipping.
