Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add 1 chopped onion and sauté for 5 minutes, then add 3 minced garlic cloves.
- In a bowl, combine 1 cup of panko breadcrumbs with 0.5 cup of whole milk. Allow to sit for 5 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, sautéed onion-garlic mixture, 2 eggs, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, thyme, salt, and pepper. Add the panade and mix gently.
- Shape the mixture into a rectangular loaf about 8x4 inches on the baking sheet.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a saucepan and stir in brown sugar, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce to make the glaze.
- Brush half of the glaze on top of the meatloaf and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, brush with remaining glaze, and continue baking for an additional 20-30 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
