Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather your ingredients and kitchen tools.
  2. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil, then add the elbow macaroni. Cook until al dente, about 7-9 minutes.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Whisk in the all-purpose flour for about 2 minutes.
  4. Gradually pour in the whole milk while whisking constantly. Stir for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and add the cheddar, Gruyère, and mozzarella cheeses. Stir until melted and creamy.
  6. Combine the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce in a large bowl.
  7. In a separate bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese with melted butter.
  8. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the macaroni and cheese in the baking dish.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  10. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.
