Method

Step-by-Step Instructions for Halloween Jello Shots
  1. In a medium saucepan, heat 1 cup of water over low heat until warm. Stir in 2 packets of unflavored gelatin until dissolved, then mix in half a can of sweetened condensed milk. Pour into shot glasses, filling each about one-third full and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Take the reserved white gelatin mixture, stir in 1/2 cup of vanilla vodka, and keep half aside. Once the white layer is firm, pour the remaining vodka mixture over it and refrigerate for another 30 minutes.
  3. Bring 1 cup of water to a gentle boil in a clean saucepan. Stir in the last packet of unflavored gelatin until dissolved, then mix in the orange Jell-O and 1/4 cup of fresh orange juice. Pour this orange layer over the vodka mixture in the shot glasses and chill for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Mix a few drops of yellow food coloring into the reserved white gelatin mixture. Once the orange layer is solid, carefully pour this colored mixture over the orange layer, cover it completely, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
