Preparation Steps
- Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- Cut each croissant into quarters and spread them evenly in the greased baking dish. Sprinkle the diced ham and shredded Swiss cheese over the croissants.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until smooth. Add thyme, garlic powder, and salt and pepper to taste, mixing well.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the croissants, ham, and cheese. Gently press down to soak the croissants in the egg mixture.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese on top. Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool for about 5 minutes, then cut into squares and garnish with chopped chives.

Notes
Soak croissants in the egg mixture for a few minutes to avoid dry spots. For a crispy top, broil briefly after baking, watching closely.
