Step-by-Step Instructions for Easy Blackberry Jam
- Place 2-3 small plates in the freezer. Gather all ingredients and equipment.
- Wash blackberries under cold water. Discard any mushy berries. Mash the blackberries in a pan.
- Add caster sugar and lemon juice to the mashed blackberries. Stir over low-medium heat for about 10 minutes.
- Bring the mixture to a rolling boil and cook for around 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Conduct the setting point check using the chilled plates. If it wrinkles, jam is ready!
- Transfer the hot jam into sterilized jars and seal tightly. Allow to cool completely.
