- Wash 3 small oranges thoroughly and slice into thin ΒΌ-inch rounds.
- In a large skillet, combine 3 cups of granulated sugar and 3 cups of water. Heat until sugar dissolves and syrup boils.
- Add orange slices to the simmering syrup in a single layer and simmer for 45β60 minutes, turning occasionally.
- Remove candied orange slices from syrup and transfer to a wire rack to dry for 24β48 hours.
- Roll dried slices in granulated sugar or dip in melted chocolate as desired.
