For Sweetness and Creaminess
  • 2 tbsp Sugar Adjust to taste
  • 1/4 cup Sweetened Condensed Milk Adds creaminess
  • 1/4 cup Evaporated Milk or Whole Milk For a velvety texture or coconut milk for dairy-free

Method
 

Brewing Instructions
  1. In a medium pot, combine black tea bags, 4 cups of water, a splash of vanilla extract, star anise, whole cardamom, a cinnamon stick, a split vanilla bean, and a teaspoon of ground turmeric. Bring to a simmer for 5 minutes.
  2. Reduce heat to low and simmer for another 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Carefully strain the mixture using a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a bowl or pitcher, discarding the spices.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup of sweetened condensed milk and 1/4 cup of evaporated milk until smooth.
  5. Pour brewed tea over ice-filled glasses, filling about three-quarters full, then drizzle the milk mixture over the top.
  6. Garnish with a sprig of mint leaves and serve immediately.

Notes
