Preparation Steps

  3. Carefully stir in 1 cup of boiling water into the batter and pour into the prepared baking pan.
  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  5. Allow the cake to cool for about 10 minutes, then poke holes all over the surface.
  6. Drizzle sweetened condensed milk and caramel sauce over the cake, allowing it to soak for 15 minutes.
  7. Spread Cool Whip over the entire surface of the cake for topping.
  8. Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.
