Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, melted butter, and one egg. Press the mixture into the bottom of the baking dish.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the remaining eggs, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract, mixing well. Fold in the pecans and chocolate chips.
- Pour the filling over the crust and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, until the top is set but the center remains jiggle.
- Let cool in the pan on a wire rack for at least 15 minutes. Cut into squares and serve warm or at room temperature.
