  2. Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern and insert whole cloves.

  4. In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, mustard, apple cider vinegar, and Dr. Pepper; bring to a boil and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  5. After 1.5 to 2 hours, brush the ham with glaze and return it to the oven uncovered for 20 minutes.
  6. Continue to reapply the glaze every 20 minutes for a shiny, sticky finish, aiming for 2 to 4 coats.
