  • 4 slices Crusty Bread thick-cut for a sturdy bite
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil for grilling

  • 1 medium Tomato sliced
  • leaf Lettuce for crunch
For the Garlic Mayo
  • ½ cup Mayonnaise the creamy base
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder or fresh garlic
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice for brightness

Step-by-Step Instructions for Halloumi Sandwich
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, garlic powder, lemon juice, and a pinch of black pepper. Stir thoroughly and set aside.
  2. Slice the halloumi cheese into ½ inch thick slices and the onion into ¼ inch thick rounds. Pat halloumi slices dry.
  3. Brush halloumi and onion slices with olive oil and sprinkle with black pepper.
  4. Preheat grill pan over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Grill halloumi and onion slices for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Grill bread as well.
  6. Spread garlic mayo on each slice of bread, layer lettuce, tomato, halloumi, and onions.
  7. Cut the sandwich in half and serve immediately.
