- In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, garlic powder, lemon juice, and a pinch of black pepper. Stir thoroughly and set aside.
- Slice the halloumi cheese into ½ inch thick slices and the onion into ¼ inch thick rounds. Pat halloumi slices dry.
