- In a separate pot, cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions.
- Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain pasta.
- Reduce heat on sauce and stir in heavy cream until incorporated.
- Add drained pasta to the sauce and toss until well-coated.
- Toss again, adjusting sauce consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
- Serve immediate and garnish with Parmesan and fresh basil.
