- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare your loaf pan or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine the milk and breadcrumbs. Let them soak for about one minute.
- Add ground beef, diced onion, eggs, minced garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
- Transfer the meat mixture to the prepared loaf pan or shape into a free-form loaf on the baking sheet. Create a slight indentation on top.
- Spread a generous layer of ketchup over the top. Optionally sprinkle fresh herbs.
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for about 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
