Step-by-Step Instructions

  2. Whisk together 2 cups of flour and 1/2 teaspoon of salt in a medium bowl.
  3. Cream together 1/2 cup of butter and 1 cup of sugar in a large mixing bowl for 2-3 minutes. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and blend.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture until a crumbly dough forms.
  5. Press two-thirds of the dough into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
