- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Whisk together 2 cups of flour and 1/2 teaspoon of salt in a medium bowl.
- Cream together 1/2 cup of butter and 1 cup of sugar in a large mixing bowl for 2-3 minutes. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and blend.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture until a crumbly dough forms.
