  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar For icing

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Cut a square from the top of each King’s Hawaiian roll to create a cavity for filling.
  3. Combine melted butter, brown sugar, and optional cinnamon in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  4. Brush the tops and insides of the rolls generously with the butter mixture.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, then add the room-temperature egg, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract.
  6. Fill each roll's cavity with the cream cheese mixture and top with a spoonful of cherry pie filling.
  7. Bake for approximately 20 minutes until golden brown and filling is set.
