Step-by-Step Instructions for Layered Homemade Lasagna
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until just al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes. Drain excess fat, then add chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened.
- Stir in pasta sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let the mixture simmer for 5 minutes.
- Combine ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, and parsley in a bowl. Mix until creamy and well blended.
- In a baking dish, layer meat sauce, noodles, and cheese mixture, repeating the layers. Finish with meat sauce on top.
