Step-by-Step Instructions for Pizza Tree on a Stick
- Soak bamboo or wooden skewers in water for about 20 minutes to prevent burning during baking.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Grease a flat surface with olive oil and roll out pizza dough into a large rectangle, about ½ inch thick.
- Slice the dough rectangle in half lengthwise to create two long strips.
- Spread a layer of tomato sauce on one half of the dough and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
- Place the second half of the dough on top of the cheese layer and press down gently to seal.
- Cut the layered dough into five strips, each about two inches wide.
- Fold each strip back and forth in a zig-zag motion to create a tree shape.
- Insert a soaked skewer through the center of each folded strip to secure the tree shape.
- Place Pizza Trees on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
