Preparation Steps
- Slice fresh strawberries and sprinkle with granulated sugar. Let macerate for 20 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine mascarpone, heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Whisk until stiff peaks form.
- Mix water and orange juice in a shallow dish. Dip ladyfingers quickly and layer half in the dish.
- Spread half of the cream mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Layer half of the macerated strawberries on top.
- Repeat with the remaining ladyfingers, cream, and strawberries.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
- Garnish with additional sliced strawberries before serving.
