Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x9-inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium skillet, heat olive oil, then add diced onion, minced garlic, and salt. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Raise the heat and add turkey Italian sausage, browning it while breaking it up. Drain excess fat once done.
  4. Mix in the marinara sauce and 1/2 cup of water. Let simmer on low for a few minutes.
  5. In a bowl, combine ricotta, egg, Parmesan, parsley, salt and pepper, mixing until smooth.
  6. Layer the lasagna starting with meat sauce, followed by noodles, ricotta mixture, more sauce, and mozzarella. Repeat.
  7. Bake uncovered for 30-40 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
