- Mix ground beef with salt and black pepper in a large bowl and shape into ¾-inch thick patties. Let them rest while you prepare the onions.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onion and cook for about 10 minutes until golden brown.
- Increase heat to medium-high and sear patties on each side for about 4-5 minutes until they develop a brown crust.
- Lower heat to medium, add minced garlic to the skillet, and sauté for 1 minute. Then whisk in flour for 1-2 minutes until golden.
- Gradually pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, whisking until the gravy thickens.
- Return patties to the skillet, coat in gravy, and let simmer for about 5 minutes.
