  • 1 cup Red Bell Pepper Can use green bell pepper or other veggies

For the Finish
  • 1 cup Fresh Basil Leaves Thai holy basil is ideal, sweet basil is good alternative
  • 2 cups Rice Jasmine rice adds authenticity but any rice can be used

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Make the Sauce by whisking together the chili paste, soy sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, and lime juice in a small bowl. Set it aside.
  2. Cook the Beef by heating 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook for 8-10 minutes until fully browned.
  3. Add Vegetables by tossing in the sliced red bell pepper, onion, and minced garlic. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  4. Combine Sauce by pouring the prepared sauce over the beef and veggies, stirring to coat. Add the fresh basil leaves and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Serve by spooning the beef stir-fry over a bed of jasmine rice and garnishing with reserved basil leaves.
