Method
 

Preparation Steps

  2. Season pork chops with salt and pepper. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and brown pork chops for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté onions and garlic until soft. Add flour to create a roux.
  4. Gradually stir in milk and chicken broth, cook until the sauce thickens.
  5. Layer half of the potatoes, sauce, and cheese in a greased baking dish. Repeat layers.
  6. Sprinkle paprika over the top layer.
  7. Place pork chops on top of casserole, cover with foil, and bake for 1 hour.
  8. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes.
  9. Let casserole rest for 10 minutes before serving.
