Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Season pork chops with salt and pepper. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and brown pork chops for 4-5 minutes on each side.
- In the same skillet, sauté onions and garlic until soft. Add flour to create a roux.
- Gradually stir in milk and chicken broth, cook until the sauce thickens.
- Layer half of the potatoes, sauce, and cheese in a greased baking dish. Repeat layers.
- Sprinkle paprika over the top layer.
- Place pork chops on top of casserole, cover with foil, and bake for 1 hour.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes.
- Let casserole rest for 10 minutes before serving.
