  • Mixing bowl
  • Electric mixer
  • rubber spatula
  • wooden spoon
  • medium bowl
  • Stand Mixer
  • resealable bag or food processor

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch cake pan thoroughly.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, chocolate fudge pudding mix, sour cream, vegetable oil, milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix with an electric mixer on medium speed for about 2 minutes until smooth.
  3. Pour the cake batter into the prepared pan and bake for 28–32 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow to cool in the pan for about 30 minutes.
  4. Once cooled, poke holes all over the top of your cake with a wooden spoon handle.
  5. In a medium bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and 2 cups of milk for about 2 minutes until it thickens. Pour over the poked cake and let soak for at least 10 minutes.
  6. Whip together the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and chocolate pudding mix until thick and spreadable.
  7. Crush the Oreo cookies until resembling dirt and sprinkle over the frosting.
  8. Press Milano cookies into the frosting as tombstones and decorate with ghost Peeps, candy pumpkins, and Halloween sprinkles.
  9. Slice into 12 pieces and serve.
